THE TRADITIONAL

Boot Hill Coffins offers their “Traditional”, a pine box coffin in the traditional, tapered shape.   The tapered shape is sometimes referred to as a “toe pincher” coffin.

The Traditional is constructed completely of furniture grade pine, supplied from environmentally responsible sources.  None of Boot Hill’s products contain any particle board, plywood, chipboard, or fiber board, or veneers..  

The Traditional is designed and fabricated using time proven woodworking techniques such as dadoes, miters, as well as dowelled and glued joints.  There are no screws, nails, or metal fasteners of any type; thus, making the Traditional completely eco-friendly and perfect for green burial. It is also an excellent choice for cremation and for Orthodox burial.

Each coffin is constructed by hand and sanded furniture smooth. No oils, varnishes, or finishes are used that may harm the environment.  Standard interior dimensions exceed 6’6” in length and 25” in width.  Interior depth will accommodate western style boots exceeding size 12, as well as western hats.  The Traditional has been weight tested up to 400 pounds. An oversized model is available as well as three sizes for children.
