About Boot Hill Coffins, LLC
Following retirement as a bank executive, Bruce Duncan returned to school to become a licensed funeral director. After years of experience in the mortuary and funeral services industry, Mr. Duncan gradually became conscious of the need for classic pine box coffins. Bruce found that he could not readily find what he needed in the time frame he faced, and he turned to friend, and master furniture craftsman, Joe Hornor.
Mr. Hornor is co-owner of Little Jack Horner’s Furniture Restoration, and has over fifty years experience in furniture fabrication and restoration. Intrigued by the idea and the old west tradition of furniture makers serving as coffin builders and undertakers, Joe agreed to join Bruce, and Boot Hill Coffins was born.
Boot Hill Coffins is located in Aledo, Texas, just west of the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex. They are available for local pick-up or delivery, and can be readily shipped anywhere in the United States. BHC strives to offer furniture quality pine box coffins to the professional funeral industry in a timely manner. The coffins are constructed from solid pine, in the traditions of the old west and enhanced with the quality of modern technology.
